In collaboration with the Peterborough Senior Center and Operation P.E.A.C.E., local art
teacher Jan Peretz will be giving an art class on “Gardens in Painting from Rome to Monet.” The class will allow attendees to enjoy exquisite books on fine art from the Boston Atheneum that include gardens in paintings through the ages of western history.
The class will begin with paintings representing Livia’s Garden in ancient Rome and conclude with Claude Monet’s painting of his famous Giverny Gardens. The class will be held at the Peterborough Senior Center on July 16, at 42 Peterborough Street from 10:30AM to 2PM. Everyone welcome! For more information, call (617)536-7154.
