Our Intermediate ESL Class will study “Leaders of Peace” who have made important contributions to World Peace and Civil Rights. We thank intern Tyler Bugden, who wrote the curriculum for P.E.A.C.E.. ESL instructor Liz Zelle will help students improve reading, writing, and conversational skills. Both the Beginning and Intermediate ESL classes will be held on Tuesday nights starting March 24th at the Peterborough Senior Center. The Beginning class will be held from 5-6PM. The Intermediate class will be held from 6:30-7:30PM and will study the works of: Desmond Tutu, Mohatma Ghanda, Cesar Chavez, musician Bob Marley, Lech Walesa, Eleanor Roosevelt and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. Students will study his “I Have A Dream” speech from the monumental March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
